Sawmill Explorer summer, private and group excursions on Lake Erie

Saturday Evening Cruises on the Sawmill Explorer

The Ferry boat Dispatch was built in 1954 in Sandusky, Ohio, and as one of a fleet of official ferries to and from Cedar Point, carried vacationers across the lake for nearly 30 years, until the construction of the causeway rendered water ferries obsolete.

Today, rechristened as the Sawmill Explorer, the ferry takes up to 60 passengers on evening cruises along the shoreline of Lake Erie and the Huron River. The Sawmill Explorer is only available for groups.  Must book in advance (419) 433-3800 ext. 746
